| Tenney A. Norquist has always prided itself in the workmanship
of its employees. This has been possible because of the company’s
dedication to training. Sheet metal and installation mechanics are
trained in a 4-year sheet metal/installation apprenticeship program.
Likewise, our service technicians graduate from trade schools such
as: HVAC/R Training
Institute and Modesto Institute
of Technology, Inc. We strive to find the best possible employees
to work in your homes and offices. But, it is not until after an
employee is hired, that training really begins. Every Tenney A.
Norquist employee attends company wide training classes. These classes
provide incredibly useful information that can and will be used
every day on the job site.
Our classes cover a wide range of topics that cover such areas
as: Proper Maintenance Techniques, Refrigerant Charging, Gas Types
& Pressures, Air Flow & Duct Design, Sheet Metal Layout,
Job Site Safety, Troubleshooting and many other relevant topics.
We also utilize other resources for our employee training. We
work with the equipment manufactures of the products that we sell
and install to ensure that when we install a piece of equipment,
it is installed exactly how the manufacturer has it designed.
Companies like Carrier &
York come to our facility and
hold equipment specific classes. These classes train both our
installation and service mechanics in the areas of proper equipment
operation. Also, many of our employees belong to organizations
like RSES and ABC
as well are NATE certified.
These organizations offer even greater opportunities for Tenney
A. Norquist employees to gain further knowledge about the HVAC
trade.
